As the sun goes down and dusk is upon us, women and girls start to look over their shoulders, and feel unsafe. V-Day dreams of a world where there is no more violence, and women feel safe at any time of day or night. Women and men will run through the park, proudly demanding an end to the violence. V-Day, with the New York Road Runners, will host a 5K race in Prospect Park on June 27th to encourage runners from across the city to run to end violence against women. You can still register at NYRR today or on site tonight (Online registration is closed).
* Tuesday, June 27 - 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at New York Road Runners (9 East 89th Street, between Madison and Fifth Avenues). No bibs or souvenirs will be available at NYRR after 1:00 p.m.
* Tuesday, June 27, 5:00-6:30 p.m. in Prospect Park near the start. Bibs/chips and souvenirs will be available in Prospect Park at this time.
