The festival will launch on June 12th at Studio 54 with a special, once-in-a-lifetime reading of Eve Ensler's play about women and war -- Necessary Targets-- with Academy Award winners Kathy Bates, Jane Fonda and Marcia Gay Harden, Emma Myles, Shiva Rose, Tony Award winner Marian Seldes, Kerry Washington, and more. Vocal performance by Sussan Deyhim. Directed by Michael Wilson. On June 13th, the day after the performance, a panel of international activists from conflict zones (including Afghanistan, Cambodia, Iraq, Lebanon, New Orleans, Rwanda, Sudan) around the world will discuss their experiences. These events will launch V-Day's 2007 Spotlight Campaign: Women in Post-Conflict Zones.
